n 2013 Phonak launched the Naida Q70 which is their second (advanced) level of power hearing aid technology. The ‘Q’ is Phonak’s new Quest chip sound processing technology. This has led to Phonak creating a range of new Binaural VoiceStream features. The Naida Q70 has replaced the previous Naida S5 model. These hearing aids come in 3 different styles which have a choice of both subtle and vibrant colours. Naida Q-RIC – An RIC (Receiver In Canal) power hearing aid with a cosmetic design. Naida Q-SP – This is a BTE (Behind The Ear) power hearing aid Naida Q-UP – This is also a BTE (Behind The Ear) but offers even more power New Features Along with the extra power, the Naida Q70 offers a good range of features along with Phonak’s new Quest technology which now offers the new Binaural VoiceStream. This means that your hearing aids will actually communicate with each other and share the information. Acclimatisation Manager – This feature will alter your hearing aid’s amplification levels automatically wherever needed. These levels and settings can also be manually adjusted. Other features include 16 Channels – Sound processing channels cover a range of frequencies so the more you have, the more specifically your hearing aid can be programmed to your individual loss. Ultrazoom/Stereozoom- These are Binaural microphone applications to help with speech capture and noise cancellation. Whistleblock – This feature helps to eliminate any irritating feedback noises. Soundrecover – This feature is designed to improve your ability to hear high frequency sounds. Noiseblock – This helps to eliminate unwanted background noise. Soundrelax – This helps to cushion the impact of sudden or unexpected loud noises. Windblock – This helps you to hear clearly, even in windy environments. Soundflow– This feature detects subtle changes in the environment and uses a range of programmes to adapt automatically. The Naida Q70 hearing aids are fully compatible with Phonak’s range of wireless accessories. Accessories include Phonak Compilot – Streamer worn around the neck Phonak TV Link S – Tv transmitter/compilot charger Phonak Mypilot – One touch display screen remote control Phonak PilotOne – Basic remote control Due to the size of the hearing aid, large buttons and ear mould this hearing aid receives 4 thumbs up for dexterity
