Hearing aid description body
n early 2013 Phonak launched the new Naida Q50 which is their third (standard) level of power hearing aid technology. The ‘Q’ stands for Phonak’s new Quest chip sound processing technology. This has allowed Phonak to create a range of new Binaural VoiceStream features. The Naida Q50 has replaced the previous Naida S3 model.
These models come in 3 different styles which have a choice of both subtle and bold colours.
Naida Q-RIC – An RIC (Receiver In Canal) hearing aid with a cosmetic design.
Naida Q-SP – This is a BTE (Behind The Ear) hearing aid
Naida Q-UP – This is also a BTE (Behind The Ear) but offers even more power
New Features
As well as being a power hearing aid, the Naida Q50 offers a range of features to further improve your listening experience along with Phonak’s new Quest technology which now offers the new Binaural VoiceStream. This means that your hearing aids can now communicate with each other and share the information.
Acclimatisation Manager –Your hearing aid’s amplification levels are automatically altered when needed. These levels and settings can also be manually adjusted.
Other features include
12 Channels – Your hearing aid’s sound processing channels cover a range of frequencies so the more channels you have, the more specifically your hearing aid can be programmed for you.
Ultrazoom - This is a Binaural microphone application which help with speech capture and noise cancelling.
Whistleblock – This helps to eliminate any whistling feedback noises.
Soundrecover – This improves your ability to hear high frequency sounds.
Noiseblock – This feature is designed to get rid of unwanted background noise.
Soundflow– This feature detects subtle changes in the environment and uses a range of programmes to adapt automatically.
The Naida Q50 hearing aids are fully compatible with Phonak’s range of wireless accessories.
Accessories include
Phonak Compilot – Streamer worn around the neck
Phonak TV Link S – Tv transmitter/compilot charger
Phonak Mypilot – One touch display screen remote control
Phonak PilotOne – Basic remote control
