The Audeo Q 90 was launched in 2013 and is the top (premium) level of RIC (Receiver In Canal) hearing aids currently available from Phonak. It has replaced the previous Audeo S9. The ‘Q’ refers to Phonaks new sound processing chip technology known as Quest. This means that you not only get faster sound processing and even better sound quality but there are also new Binaural VoiceStream features The Audeo Q90 is available in three different styles and offer a choice of colours ranging from subtle tones to vibrant shades. Audeo Q-312 – A cosmetic hearing aid with wireless capability and Tinnitus Balance Sound Generator So small that it virtually disappears behind the ear Choice of models at different price levels An option to help manage tinnitus The Audeo Q 90 has many of the same features as the previous Audeo S 9 and also has some new ones thanks to Binaural VoiceStream. This means your hearing aids can actually communicate with each other and work together to further improve your listening experience. Tinnitus Balance Sound Generator – This uses a range of sounds to help relieve tinnitus symptoms. It also has a Tinnitus Balance App which is compatible with Apple and Android devices giving you access to a range of different sounds. Acclimatisation Manager – This alters your hearing aid’s amplification levels automatically but also allows for manual adjustment. Speech in Wind – This feature can detect the wind noise in your hearing aids. It then identifies which side is receiving a clearer signal and streams it across to the other one. Auto SteroZoom – This will automatically focus on the voice that you want to hear and blocks out noises from other directions leaving the speech clear. Other features include 20 Channels - Channels processes a range of frequencies so the more you have, the more specifically it can be programmed for you. Ultrazoom/Stereozoom/Autozoom - Binaural microphone applications which help to enhance speech capturing and noise cancellation. Whistleblock – This helps to eliminate any annoying feedback sounds that can occur. Soundrecover – This feature improves your ability to hear higher frequency sounds. Noiseblock – This suppresses unwanted background noises. Soundrelax – This helps to soften any sudden or unexpected loud noises to ensure listening comfort. Echoblock - This helps to ease any distortion if you are in places such as large halls or churches. Windblock – This helps you to hear clearly in windy situations. Soundflow– Detects subtle changes in the listening environment and uses programmes to adapt automatically. The Audeo Q 90 has some models which can be connected to Phonak’s range of wireless accessories. Accessories include Phonak Compilot – Streamer worn around the neck Phonak TV Link S – Tv transmitter/compilot charger Phonak Mypilot – One touch display screen remote control Phonak PilotOne – Basic remote control Due to the small size of the aid and fitting the aid requires fairly good dexterity therefore receiving 2 thumbs up
